As the newish owner of Radiant Birth, circa February 2025, my intention is to honour the heart and essence of what Radiant Birth has always been, because I truly love what it offers to the community, while also allowing it to evolve and grow alongside me.

I want Radiant Birth to be full of heart and depth, a space that feels accessible and inclusive, where everything we offer honours each person and their unique experience. We don’t tell people what to do or sell a “right way”; we share knowledge, tools and opportunities that help people grow confidence in what feels right and true for them.

And to me, that is the “doula way”… its about creating spaces for people to unfurl, express, acknowledge, learn, grow and lean in.

In this first year, I have re-written the course content and updated the formats intro three key workshops covering birth education, postpartum preparation and birthmapping. The collective has grown from four to twelve amazing doulas and humans, and it continues to expand. We have run two birth courses and the first ever postpartum workshop, I have connected 23 birthing people with a doula in the collective.

All the while I have been actively doing my own doula work full time. I didn’t just take on RB to get out of on call life, I REALLY love it and am seeking ways to make it more sustainable long term. For that reason, in mid October 2025 I made the hard but necessary call to pause my own in person birth support from March 2026-March 2027, I have a few clients left that I will see through to meeting their babies over the next 3 months.. but my focus is squarely on Radiant Birth, our offerings and collective for this next year or so to build a solid foundation on which it can go from strength to strength.

And trust me, I cannot WAIT to start taking on new birthing people as I know I will miss the birth buzz.

I want Radiant Birth to soar, and I want every doula and team member connected to it to thrive right alongside it. Radiant Birth has always been about community, collaboration and care, and as we move toward 2026, I’m excited to introduce new opportunities to deepen connection, learning and support for both our doulas and the families we serve.

Here’s a glimpse of what is planned for 2026:

• Monthly Ask a Doula Sessions – live online Q&A spaces, open to our community with transcripts and recordings shared after each session.

• Monthly Online New Moon Yoga – gentle, restorative sessions to help pregnant and postpartum people connect with body, breath and intentions.

• In-person Active Birth Skills Workshop – 2-hour practical, movement-based learning for expectant parents to explore positions, breath and tools for labour.

• In-person Birth Partner Support Skills Workshop – 2-hour session designed to help partners build confidence, practical tools, presence and communication for birth and beyond.

• Online Birth Reflections, Birth Preparation and Postpartum Chats – supportive sessions hosted by our doulas to meet people where they are, offering care and connection in real time.

• Our beloved core offerings will continue – including the 2-day Birth Course, 1-day Postpartum Workshop and Birth Mapping sessions, which remain at the heart of Radiant Birth’s education pathway.

• A retreat for the collective (and other doulas too!)

As Radiant Birth grows, my hope is that this space remains collaborative, a community where ideas can be shared, projects can be co-created, and everyone can be involved in shaping its future. I want to bring projects to the team that offer you the chance to participate as equals, in whatever capacity feels right for you, not as employees under a “boss”, but as valued contributors to something meaningful and ever-evolving.

Together, I believe we can continue to expand what Radiant Birth represents: a collective that celebrates women, birthing people, parents, families and the cycles of life with warmth, wisdom and connection.
