Naz Fowler
Postpartum Doula
Services North and Inner North of Melbourne ◦ Wurundjeri Land
she/her
Welcome, I’m Naz. Postpartum is one of the most sacred and wildly human seasons we ever walk through. It can be tender, messy,
beautiful, disorienting, heart-expanding and holy. In its perfect chaos, motherhood rearranges you on every bloody level. And
it’s meant to. You deserve to be held through this transition with softness, reverence and grounded support - so you can focus on finding your rhythm, recovering from pregnancy and birth, and bonding with your baby/ies.
As your doula, I offer trauma-informed care, somatic wisdom and my full presence. I bring a grounded nervous system and warm-hearted attunement into your space - the kind of support that sits beside you through the tears, the joy, the wobbliness, the laughter, the questions, the quiet, the chaos and everything in between.
My support is also hands-on and practical. I genuinely love lightening your load. Whether that’s bringing you nourishing food, cuddling baby so you can rest, shower or simply finish a warm cuppa, tackling the dishes or laundry or popping fresh linen on your bed (elite postpartum pleasure, if you ask me!).
I’m here to help you with the very real, day-to-day needs of postpartum life. Body-based approaches have been my greatest allies in postpartum, and over the years I’ve gathered loads of simple, supportive practices to nurture awareness, embodiment, regulation and self-trust. If this feels like your kind of support, I love sharing somatic practices - from movement or yoga and breath work, to somatic touch, bodywork, guided meditation and tools to ground or express your experience. Always guided by what your nervous system is asking for in the moment.
Sessions are always choice-based and invitational, so you have full freedom over what we explore together. And if you’re feeling foggy or unsure of what you need (completely normal in this season), I’ll gently help you find your way.
With over 12 years in trauma counselling and specialised training in Somatic Experiencing®, I’ve learned to attune to the whole person; holding tender emotions, layered stories and the meaningful transformations that unfold when someone feels safe.
I’m equally at home in tears, tenderness, belly laughs and the beautiful contradictions of postpartum - tender and overwhelming, sacred and chaotic, beautiful and hard, often all at once.
Our society doesn’t adequately honour or support this transition. My intention is to help bridge those gaps, so you can move through postpartum feeling held, heard and embodied.
Training and experience
I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula, qualified social worker and Somatic Experiencing-trained practitioner, as well as a trauma-informed yoga teacher and group facilitator. I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families as they navigate the tender landscape of trauma healing, grief, pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
For more than 12 years, I’ve worked across a range of counselling roles and settings, including sexual assault trauma counselling and alcohol and other drug support. In these roles, I’ve had the honour of walking alongside people of many identities, cultures and life experiences.

Somatic Birth Processing
My approach is grounded in a body-based modality called Somatic Experiencing®, nervous system education and trauma-informed counselling.
Together, we gently explore what your body is holding from your birth experience, without needing to retell the entire story or move into anything that doesn’t feel ready.
This work is slow, respectful, choice-based and deeply attuned to your comfort, boundaries and unique pace.
You’ll be supported to:
• Feel heard, validated and witnessed
• Explore and cultivate a sense of safety in your body
• Understand how your nervous system works to protect you
• Discharge stored survival energy (fight, flight, freeze, fawn & collapse)
• Regulate overwhelming sensations, emotions or shutdown states
• Process feelings of grief, shock, fear, disappointment or disconnection
• Complete incomplete protective / defensive responses
• Reclaim your experience with self-compassion and choice
Investment: $225 – 90 min session
Online or in-person at Integrated Trauma Therapy in Warrandyte
Multiple sessions may be supportive depending on your needs and goals.
Testimonials
“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your amazing support and guidance these past few weeks/months! As a labouring woman, I loved your calm energy and kind reassurance giving me the strength to keep going when I felt I couldn’t. But also the antenatal and postnatal visits have been so valuable! The way you are able to open (vulnerable) conversations, ask the right questions and keep the space for us to sit and think is just such a skill. You are amazing at what you do. Thank you so much for supporting us in having the birth we dreamed of, even though it didn’t happen at home”- Rian
“Thank you doesn’t seem like enough! Thank you for all your time, input, thanks for listening and thank you for your wisdom. I will really miss our sessions, you have helped me grow in so many ways. You are a natural at your job and I was so blessed to have had you lead my sessions. Thanks again.“
“The biggest thank you for all of your care, support and guidance the last two years, The time I have spent with you has made such a positive impact on my life and I will be forever grateful. I would like to think it’s not a goodbye but I will see you again in this lifetime.”
