About
I am a certified postpartum doula and mother of two with first hand experience of the beauty and complexity that is pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
Having had a vastly different birth and fourth trimester second time around, I truly believe that planning well, becoming informed and having the right supports in place made the world of difference.
I am passionate about women receiving the necessary care they need during the first forty days after birth and beyond. My own experiences of becoming and being a mother in today’s society have fuelled my passion to provide support, hold space and create a community of care for new and seasoned mothers.
With a background in youth work, teaching and community planning, I have learnt how to walk alongside someone, to truly listen and hold compassion during times of vulnerability. Further practice in mindfulness and meditation have taught me to embody self reflection and stillness.
Alongside practical support and care, I love to feed families with meals that are made with love, infused with culture and loaded with nourishment.

Testimonial
“Imren is a beautiful soul who embodies the work she does as a postpartum doula and I feel so grateful to have been held by her after the birth of my second child. She is warm, caring, flexible - three critical things needed during such a big time of transition. I loved her focus on feeding me - nutrition being such a thoughtful and considered way of supporting parents in postpartum. She provided space for me to share about the seismic adjustment of moving from one kiddo to two, and the reflection that flowed when thinking about my two (very different) birth experiences. We also connected over the bottomless grief of parenting while grieving for our own parents. Not something everyone can understand and I'll be forever grateful to have shared these moments with her.
There aren't really words to provide enough thanks to someone who supports for you during this raw and vulnerable time, so the best I can do is to tell everyone I love to invest in Imren's care as the best gift to themselves during their 4th trimester.” Lisa
